TMC Images
You can download the images for the Annual Report assignment here
It is a zip file so once you download the file, double click on it to expand it.
It is fairly large so make sure you have enough space and time.
Pre-press Resources
Here are a few online resources for envelope specs and folding options.
I have also included a finishing resource which you can use to reference: die-cutting, embossing, binding and foil-stamping. And just for good measure if you run into a term that you need to look up here is a link to printing/graphic design terms.

Second class and assignment
25 October 2010
Tonight we reviewed everyones presentations and went through many of the new features that InDesign CS5 added. If you need refreshers on any of it I have scoped out a couple of websites that have some good tutorials:
Creativepro.com
Lynda.com
The Indesigner.com
Second Assignment
Due: 1 November 2010
For your second assignment you will take the presentation that you prepared for your first assignment and convert it to an interactive presentation...Think about first and foremost how your viewer will move thru the presentation, how objects move, what comes in first etc. Try and push yourself to make it look like more than just a glorified powerpoint. Remember you are able to embed links and video in your presentation as well so if you want to add supporting material go for it.
A couple of examples here and here.
Third Assignment (concept development)
Due: 1 November 2010
I thought i would get a jump on the third assignment and go ahead and give it to you. All that i want you to do for next week is to start thinking about how you would like to design it and bring in simple pencil sketches...we will talk more about this in class.
I have attached the copy here. So please download it, start looking through it and working out your plan.
